The Point: I want to go learn what it means to plan a professional convention event and sell and/or buy things at swap meet. I also want anyone from club to know what they can do over spring break and let the club officers/ future officers know and try to improve Chico MiniCon
For any further information, email me at (forum name)@gmail.com *Note* I don't have any more information on the Convention itself but if you have questions about getting a ride, how to run a convention or anything else. For ride, Email me soon and naturally I'll be leaving Chico to get there.

No. No, it's probably like MiniCon's first year. Sending out flyers in the area and getting very little word out to the rest of the state.
I heard about it at the FanimeCon General Staff Meeting. I took Vin and Tanya down there to get Rover training. The event planner, Jason, is a department head for FanimeCon. He's ultimate goal is to train high schoolers to run a professional convention so they can take over as department heads for big time conventions such as Fanime and AnimeExpo.
Overall I want to go and see how they are doing their convention given that they would have more limitations than we do but they do have outside help (ie Jason), see what "professional" intells, try to sell some stuff, and give feedback to club using Asahi-con as a gadge of what may be considered professional organized.
I'm pretty skeptical and don't want to expect much, but optimistic. I think MiniCon is progressing at a steady rate and shouldn't over complicate it. But it would be nice to see a different spin on things and take note of them.
Totally going to bring back things and pics for the officers to analyze and critic. Here's hoping.
